Fikirte is in the process of raising funds to serve for a week at Mission of Hope in Haiti. To help her reach her goal, we have a special fundraiser.

Our family has labeled envelopes from #1 to #50. We are asking family and friends to choose an envelope to sponsor. Each number represents the amount of money you would like to donate to Fikirte’s trip. This means you could give anywhere from $1 to $50. We have also marked a few of the envelopes to receive a special thank you gift after they have been chosen. You can donate through PayPal or by the address given below.

Dear Family and Friends,

Last year I had the chance to travel to Ethiopia while my family was in the process to bring my brother home. I was really happy to be in Ethiopia again. We spent time every day with kids waiting to be united with their families. We also set aside one afternoon to play with the kids at a local orphanage. I liked working with the kids.

That time helped me get closer to God in some way. He really takes good care of me. It also reminded me to be thankful for what I have, although I must admit I am still working on that. It was an amazing opportunity to go to Ethiopia.

I have a new opportunity to go to Haiti from June 21^st to the 29^th. A group of twenty high school and college students and adults are traveling from my church to work with Mission of Hope. I want to go to Haiti to help the kids, adults, and to help serve God.

I am asking you to consider supporting me in a few different ways. The first is through prayer. We will be serving in the village of Titanyen. Our team will be visiting different homes in the village to share safe water and food training. We also hope to be able to share the gospel during our time with them. Please pray for those that we will be visiting and for those that work at Mission of Hope—that we can open the pathway to a long relationship for all. We will also spend time with the children who live at Mission of Hope. They live there because they don’t have a biological family. I am so glad they have the Mission of Hope family.

I am also seeking financial help. My mom will also be a part of the team, so our family is supplying the entire cost for her trip. The cost of the weeklong trip is $1400, and this is due by May 15^th. I am willing to babysit and currently have applied for jobs, now that basketball season is done, but if you feel called to give to my trip I would be grateful for that blessing.
